Description of Lomvi Barents Sail is a smal charter company that offers charter trips and rental of our beautiful Bavaria sailboat of 38 feet with the name "Lomvi". "Lomvi" has 3 Oceans Evasionins with beds for 6 persons and 1 toilets with shower, making it ideal for spending time on the sea with family and friends."Lomvi" comes complete with bedding and towels.We have floating dresses for rent NOK 100,- for each person. "Lomvi" also has a small dinghy with 6hp that can bring guests to shore when you are at anchor. When you rent "Lomvi",we appreciate that you return "Lomvi" in the same condition you rented it in. On Barents Sail's boats we offer a starter package with raw delicacy of king crab and snow crab and if you want to try your luck in fishing for fish yourself, the boats have equipment for this too. "Lomvi" is a beautiful sail boat and this is a world around sail boat and therefore fully equipment for long ocean travels and "Lomvi" has all the safety equipment what is required. i can mention that "Lomvi" has visit Caribien,USA,Canada,Greenland Iceland and of course the Norwegian coast. The favorite places to sail all year around are Northern Norway, Sørøya, Lofoten, Senja, and outer Tromsø and Lyngen. If you like mountain hikes, why not drop the Anchor in a fjord and take your backpack on and walk or ski in our beautiful nature summer or winter. Personally i can recommend a trip to Årøya which is located in the middle of Lyngen fjord. The owner of Barents Sail and operator of Lomvi is Steve Arntzen who is an experience sailor in all type of ship and he haw sailed as captain at sea for 35 years in different ship, like fishing wesels,tourist and research in Whale counting in Barents sea and Svalbard aria. Steve is a Captain in the Norwegian Opilio snow crab and King Crab fishery back from 2014 and one of the first captains in this fishery.Steve will be happy to give recommendations where to find and catch a few taste samples of this delicacy and if you want a Cod dinner in your sailing trip, then he haw a few secrets to share depends of the aria you sail with "Lomvi". Steve bought the sail company Barents Sail and rented in "Lomvi" to his company from Tor-Arvid kristiansen as the tourist pressure is very high in Northern Norway, and therefore Barents Sail needed one more sail boat to take care of guests who wanted Norwegian sail adventure. Barents Sail has also the sail boat "Nordbreez" 44 fot Bavaria 2003 model with 4 Oceans Evasionins who was owned by previous owner of Barents sail Tor-Arvid kristiansen. From October 2025 Barents-Sail will also be put into charter the newly bought "Njord 2" a Beneteau First 47.7 2002 model with 4 Oceans Evasionins and 2 bath.
