The Italian shipbuilding organisation Rosetti Superyachts in cooperation with the design studio Meccano Engineering presented the concept of the black-and-white super-yacht colouring Project Orco.

The project of a 65-metres super-yacht will be uneasy to accomplish. Although the company has all the necessary drafts and resources, the building of the yacht will be started after buying the project. The vessel will have 4 decks which will be connected by a lift for the sake of convenience of passengers and ship’s crew. There is enough space for 12 guests in 3 standard cabins, 2 VIP-cabins and owner’s cabins. On the bridge deck, the owner's cabin will include a terrace, gym, large wardrobes and 2 bathrooms. There is a swimming pool, a garage for two tender boats and a helipad on the sun deck of the vessel.

“If we were to sell the boat tomorrow, we could begin construction straight away”

Fulvio Dodich, CEO of Rosetti Superyachts.

The vessel can travel with a speed of 12 knots for up to 5000 miles without refuelling. Project Orco is to be equipped with two 1398 kW engines. The yacht is designed not only for the warm waters but also for the Arctic and Antarctic regions

The vessel design is inspired by killer whales that inhabit almost any part of the world. These naval mammals frequently migrate to pursue the prey. They are fast, have streamlined shapes and contrast colouring. The architects of Project Orco wanted to convey these features to the vessel as it would blend seamlessly into the surrounding nature.
