Hundreds of superyachts go through the Suez Canal every year avoiding Eritrea* (officially the State of Eritrea). The state is the world youngest and undiscovered by tourists. The civil wars and undeveloped infrastructure are balanced out by safe harbours, coral reefs and an amazing culture.
The first explorer of the new route is the owner of the superyacht who personally offered to make Eritrea a new place for tourists. The initiator approached the company Pelorus which organizes the maritime expeditions. The travel to Eritrea will be in 2019 but the exact date is not specified yet.
* Eritrea is a small state in Africa which became independent in 2018. It is better to go there in May or September. The water area is near to the Dahlak Archipelago. There are coral reefs, lots of dive sites and the unique undersea which is worth to visit.
