This year the Monaco Yacht Show outdid itself by presenting the largest and the most expensive collection of superyachts. The estimated price for this luxurious ocean-going real estate is around $4.29 billion dollars for 125+ vessels cruising into Port Hercules.
The yachting event of the year gathered the creme de la creme of the yachting world bringing together buyers, builders and designers, brokers and suppliers, and over 30000 visitors, including Prince Albert II of Monaco.
The pinnacle of the show was the annual MYS Inaugural Gala where the four awards were presented. Chosen from eighteen freshly built over 40m long nominees that embody the latest luxurious excellence in the industry these three winners stood above all else.
1. Tis (111.5-meters) yacht by the world-class German builder Lürssen took the MYS Interior Design Award. The largest superyacht could house 18 guests in it’s classical interiors created by Winch Design.
2. The MYS/RINA award is given to the eco-friendliest vessel according to the Italian classification company RINA. This year it went to Atilla (64-meters) built by the Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo.
3. The MYS Exterior Design Award was presented to Excellence (80-meters), the new superyacht by Winch Design, constructed by Abeking & Rasmussen. According to the Jury it delivered the new era of superyacht design with her striking reverse bow and unique signature.
4. MYS Finest New Superyacht Award — the second triumph of the evening for Excellence. She is truly the extraordinary masterpiece of futuristic exterior shapes and modern interior design.
