In Bahrain, there will be underwater excursions to the flooded Boeing 747 and the underwater house of the pearl merchant. The organizers plan to open an underwater theme park with an area of 100 thousand m² in August.
The entertainment complex will be built on land and in the sea. It is planned that the theme park will stand on the island of Muharrak next to the UNESCO world heritage site Pearl trail. It is a large pearl-fishing quarter with oyster shallows, shops, and a local mosque. The typical setting of the house of the pearl merchant is repeated both on the ground and underwater.
For the construction of the park, environmentally friendly materials are used that won’t cause damage to the environment, and the aircraft will be protected from corrosion by a special coating. Special zones for invertebrates, oysters and 12-meter towers for the coral nursery will be installed on a large territory.
According to the Supreme Council for the environment, the Bahrain tourism Authority and private investors, the Park will be especially popular after the World Cup 2022.
