Italian shipyard Perini Navi provided information about its 42-meter sailing yacht E-volution.
The boat was presented on the Monaco Yacht Show 2017, when E-volution was at the design stage for the client. The aluminum body is equipped with a lifting keel from the Reichel-Pew studio, and sailplan includes a carbon fibre rig. The exterior of the vessel was designed by Franco Romani, designer of Perini Navi.
Cabins are designed for 10 guests, including a master-cabin, 2 aft for guests and a cabin in front of the engine room. A separate room intended for a cinema can also become a room for rest if the buyer wants.
The diesel-electric transmission project E-volution will provide a noiseless cruiser and a range of 3200 nautical miles per ten knots by total fuel capacity of 20,000 liters. Architect Jim Pugh added: " The yacht will offer exceptional balance and seakeeping, combined with a finely tuned and well-proportioned sail plan. "
Currently, other sailing yacht projects are under development in Perini Navi, including the 60-meter ketch Seven, which is to be launched in early 2018.
