SilverYachts has presented SpaceCat, a new eco-catamaran, at the yacht exhibition in Singapore. Espen Oeino worked with an Australian company on the project.
35-meter SpaceCat catamaran will be environmentally-safe. The aluminum hull will have a low resistance. Construction is to begin in May 2019 at a new shipyard in China, Guangdong province. The whole series of new vessels will be built on this shipyard.
The residential part will be located in the bow of the catamaran. 12 people can be comfortably accommodated in the yacht including the master cabin. There are also 3 cabins for 8 crew members.
There is a swimming pool with a beach area, and a garage for tenders and water toys on the SpaceCat. The designers will equip the vessel with four Volvo IPS 1050 engines with the maximum speed of 21 knots and the cruising speed of 16 knots.
The SpaceCat is not the only project that Espen Oeino is currently working on. From the beginning of the year, the architect develops the REV mega-yacht, the Oceanco DreAMBoat and the VSY Project 003.
