The Hawk Yachts have developed a 228-foot project HAWK RANGER. The yacht will be presented at the Düsseldorf BOOT 2019, which will be held from 19 to 27 January.
Expedition yachts are prefered for reliability. The HAWK RANGER will be the third trawler shipyard. Previously released yachts the CAPE HAWK 690 (157,5 ft) and the SEA HAWK (338 ft) are able to make transitions even in most extreme conditions. The 228-foot luxury yacht has absorbed the best developments of the previous models.
The Hawk Yachts, together with the British design Studio Laurent Giles, worked on the marine architecture of the yacht. Like its predecessors, the HAWK RANGER body is made of steel, and the superstructure and mast are made of aluminum.
Matthias Bosse, CEO and co-founder of the Hawk Yachts, added about the new vessel:
«We are building robust yachts to the very highest specifications which are capable of travelling to remote locations only accessed by high-end ocean explorers. From Antarctica to indigenous villages in the Amazon rainforest, our yachts are opening up a world of adventure to discerning people who want unique experiences and utmost luxury.»
The space on Board is 670 m², including a terrace with glass walls. There is a helipad next to which there is a veranda for leisure with a swimming pool. There are 4 guest cabins, 2 VIP-cabins and owner's apartments on the ship. The layout of the master cabin can be changed based on the captain's preferences.
The new Explorer has a tender garage, which will allow you to carry boats up to 8.5 meters in length. Tenders are necessary for landing in shallow water. The package includes Super Yacht Sub 3-500LX from U-Boat Worx, the start system and search of the tender.
The maximum speed of the HAWK RANGER is 17 knots and the cruising speed is 13 knots with a range of 6800 nautical miles.
